The vineyards are directed by Sebastià Rubí and Ramon Servalls i Batle, whom both continue the family tradition of the harmony between wine and art. This is reflected in their “Private Reserva”. The labels, each year are created by renowned artists such as Rebecca Horn, Jaume Plensa, Yannick Vu, Ramon Canet or Erwin Bechtold, therefore becoming unique art labels.
Under the appellation of origin Binissalem, the Maciá Batle wine cellars, cultivate mostly traditional grapes: Mantonegro or Callet for red wine and Prensal for white wines.
Year after year, their wines are gold medal winners in national and international contests: “Macià Batle Blanc of Blancs 2008”, won the Grand Gold Medal in Berlin in 2009, and gold medal in the International Wine Masters competition amongst others; “Macià Private Batle Reserva 2005” brought to Santa Maria the gold medals of the International Sommelier Awards of England and from Expovina in Switzerland; “Macià Batle Crianza 2006” also received numerous Gold medals in 2009 – the one of the World Contest of Brussels, Mundus Vini Germany, International Contest of Wines in Seville and the Berliner Wein Trophy.
Apart from its exceptional wines, Macià Batle has a wide range of delicatessen goods to offer its clients. Combining tradition and innovation, with new lines of flavours and compositions, the vineyard shows the exquisiteness of the Majorcan cuisine.
Group visits are available for wine tasting with small aperitifs in two different rooms. The number for telephone reservations is 971 14 00 14.
